Diets or kidney disease

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) in cats is one of the most commonly diagnosed geriatric conditions. An appropriate diet should contain reduced levels of phosphorus and protein while providing high-quality, easily digestible protein to minimise the burden on the kidneys. Additional support is provided by omega-3 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties and support urinary tract function.
