Diets for kidney disease
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a common health problem in dogs, particularly older dogs, and requires appropriate dietary management. A key aspect is restricting phosphorus intake and providing an appropriate amount of high-quality protein to help reduce the burden on the kidneys and slow disease progression. Omega-3 fatty acids also play an important role in the diet, supporting kidney function and helping to reduce inflammation.
